The method of implanting bio-fiber hair on the scalp is known as hair implantation. The difference between hair implant and hair transplant is that in hair implant bio fiber hair are used to implant on the scalp whereas in hair transplant the tissue from the scalp is taken of live hair that are transplanted on the bald patches.

The hair implantation technique is used when hair grafting or transplantation is not possible. The positive side of hair implantation is that it gives immediate results. There is no general anesthesia required and it is easy to perform. The best of all is that there is only 1% chance of rejection in the process of hair implantation.

This is a staged process in which the individual is tested by implanting 2 or 3 hairs to see if there are any signs of rejection. If there are no signs of rejection, then the second and third stage is carried out to complete the process of hair implantation.
