Micro Follicle Replacement

Micro Follicle Replacement is a form of cosmetic surgery, where hair is grafted from one part of the head to another, to solve the problem of hair loss and balding.

Follicles together with their hairs are removed from areas of hair growth and grafted to bald areas. Because they are taken from areas of the head where all the follicles are resistant to balding, and they retain this property even if relocated, the problem of baldness is solved permanently. The hairs on the newly covered area may initially fall out following the surgery, but will quickly regrow, and continue to grow and thicken.

The procedure can take several hours as hundreds or thousands of grafts are usually needed to obtain sufficient cover for the bald area. The surgery is done under sedation.
