Hair Graft Treatments

A hair graft is the removal of hair from one part of the scalp to another. This is part of a cosmetic procedure to solve problems of balding. Hair is taken from parts of the head where there is still hair growth, and grafted onto balding areas. Since follicles in parts of the scalp, especially the lower back part, are genetically resistant to balding, they will continue to produce hair when grafted to their new location. One procedure can consist of hundreds or thousands of grafts, until the bald area is sufficiently covered. The hair can either be grafted in a strip containing several follicles each containing between one and four hairs each, or in a more precise way of one follicle at a time. The latter method gives a more natural outcome, with no scars, and is rapidly becoming a popular choice.
