A hair implant is a form of hair restoration used to solve the problem of hair loss and balding. A synthetic material which looks and feels very much like human hair is attached to the area of hair loss. Many synthetic hairs are added until the area of hairloss is satisfactorily covered. Over time, some of the hairs may be lostsed, requiring a repeat procedure.

With newer methods of grafting a persons natural hair to the area of balding, this method is not as popular as it used to be. Natural hair replacement is a permanent solution which no need for repeat procedures. However, in cases where only a small area needs to be covered, hair implants can be an uncomplicated good solution.
