Hair Transplants

Hair transplants are a method of covering a bald part of the head using hairs from parts of the head where hair growth remains. The hairs are transplanted in follicular groups, meaning that all the hairs growing from a singular follicle are moved together within it. There are between one and four hairs in a single follicle. Certain parts of the scalp are resistant to balding, and the hair follicles in these areas retain this property even if they are transplanted to other parts of the scalp. Therefore, when they are grafted to a bald part of the head, they will continue to produce hair. The procedure of hair transplanting is done by moving and grafting one follicle at a time, hundreds of thousands of times, until the previously bald area is sufficiently covered. The hair may fall out following the surgery, but will quickly regrow. Court House Clinics can perform this procedure in a few hours, with patients usually under sedation, and discharge on the same day.
