High Hairline Treatments

Many patients, especially women, seek help concerning high hairlines. A person can have a naturally occuring high hairline, or it can develop over time as a lower hairline recedes with age. The cause of it is not important in seeking a solution, as hair transplant can create a lower, natural looking hairline in both cases.

In a cosmetic surgical procedure, multiple hair grafts are performed, taking hair from an area of the scalp which is naturally resistant to balding, and implanting it onto the hairless area below the hairline. The trasplanted follicles retain their balding resistant properties in their new location. The surgery can be lengthy, as many grafts are needed to fill in the area and create a lower hairline. The results are not immediate, as the hair often falls out following surgery, but regrowth is usually swift from the grafted follicles, and the growth is permanent from then on.
