Implanted Graft Treatments

An implanted graft of hair is where hair is excised from one area of the head, and implanted in another, as part of a hair loss or balding solution. Since parts of the scalp contain hair and follicles which are resistant to hair loss, and these follicles keep their properties when moved to another site on the head, grafting hair in this way produces a permanent solution to balding.
Restoring hair involves a procedure of hundreds or thousands of such hair grafts, and can take several hours. It is usually performed under sedation, with patient discharge the same day. Although the newly implanted hair grafts may fall our immediately following surgery, the follicles remain, and produce new hairs quickly. They continue to produce hair permanently from then on.
